A firm favourite here at TinTabulous. This Tin Robot stands an impressive 30.5 cm (12") tall and weighs in a at a substantial 767g. Definitely a heavyweight!

This particular robot is a faithful reproduction of the Smoking Robot produced by Yonenzawa in Japan during the 1950s.

Traditional bump and go action, lights and smoke
The Chief Smoky measures in at a height of 30cm (11.5") and is an excellent homage to the skirted style bump and go tin robots of the 1950s and early 60s.

Powered by 2 D Batteries the unit features the traditional non-stop bump and go action with lights and tops it off with a fantastic smoking action from funnel atop its head.

Mr Robot the mechanical brain
Walking action with flashing bulbs
This is a particularly unique robot as whilst the walking action is powered by a wind up mechanism its bulbs in the hands are powered by an AA battery held within its head!
This Mr. Robot also has the handle 'the mechanical brain'. Measures 20cm (8") tall and weighs in at 276 grams.
This robot harks back to the original Mr. Robot issued by Alps in the 1950s.

Lantern Robot
Remote control walking action with lights and powder puff smoking action
The Latern robot is 20cm (8") tall and weights in at 366 grams.
2x D Batteries fit into a handy controller allowing button controlled walking with moving arms and on off flashing bulbs. Unlike the smoking spaceman above this model using an innovative powder tray in the head portion along with a bellows to literally puff smoke out of a nozzle at its mouth.
This robot is an excellent reproduction of the Line Mar 'Robot with lantern' produced in the typical early 1950s fashion of making entirely out of tinplate (controller button excluded). Even the battery housing controller is made of tin!
